Delicious golden brown energy oat balls. Healthy and tasty. You can add them to your snack list without guilt of taking in lots of unhealthy stuff into your body.
1 spoon butter
3 spoons peanut butter
1/4 cup milk
1 cup raw oats (add more if the mixture is too wet)
3 spoons honey (or more, if you please)
Preheat the oven at 180 degrees. Microwave the butter, honey and milk for 30 seconds on high just to melt the butter, warm the milk and make the honey dissolve easier. Add peanut butter and stir until the mixture is blended together. Crack the eggs in and blend well. Then add the oats. Mix well until all the oats is finely covered in the mixture. The mixture should not be too wet or too dry.
Now, try to shape it into balls. (Mine never makes perfect balls but, balls are balls anyway.) Put them on a lightly greased pan (You can use a baking spray or wax paper instead of butter to prepare you pan). Bake at 180 degrees until golden brown. Then take out, wait for them to cool and enjoy with a glass of milk or without.
Occasionally, I add raisins and chocolate chips to the mixture depending on what is available. Sometimes I just add one of the two. Personalize the recipe and have fun getting healthier.
